At Le Jardin de la Reyssouze, we chose not to install air conditioning. This decision was driven by our desire to preserve the authenticity of this historic house and minimize our environmental impact.
Thick walls, a leafy garden, the nearby river, and shutters closed during the hottest hours keep the interior pleasantly cool. Each room is also equipped with a fan for your comfort.

In the Netherlands, cheese is enjoyed first thing in the morning. And not just any way: it’s sliced into very thin strips to top their bread. To do this, they use a very specific tool: the *kaas-schaaf*.
The Slagt family, loyal guests of Le Jardin de la Reyssouze, stops by every year on their way to vacation. Last year, they promised to bring me an authentic *kaas-schaaf*... and they didn't forget! ❤️
